Description of the scholarship
Approximately six scholarships are awarded each year to students enrolled in an American university to prepare for a degree (degree-seeking students) or, in certain cases, to conduct doctoral-level research. Preference goes to students working on a subject concerning the United States, particularly in history, political science, arts and letters, law, or any other field relating to American culture or the place of the United States in community of nations.
Each scholarship is worth approximately $20,000. It must be spent exclusively for registration in an American university; everyday living expenses; supplies, books, and other study-related materials; and the round trip between France and the United States.
