The Dr. David Nilsson Scholarship is a $2,000 tuition scholarship for the spring semester, which will recognize an undergraduate student who graduated from a high school in Mexico.

Application Details

The application for the Dr. David Nilsson Scholarship will open in the fall 2024 semester. Criteria for the scholarship can be found below:

1. You are an undergraduate student and enrolled full-time at UT Austin during the award semester.
2. You are on a non-immigrant visa and classified as an international student at UT Austin.
3. Graduated from a high school in Mexico and intend to return to Mexico after graduation for work. 
4. Demonstrate financial need.
5. You must have completed two academic semesters at UT Austin.
6. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
7. Preference will be given to students who graduated from a high school in Tejupilco or the state of Querétaro.
