Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation
In recognition of Rosa Luxemburg, also referred to as Rosa-Lux, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation is a transnational alternative political and educational organisation, based in Germany and associated with the Democratic Socialist Left Party. - The grant for international students shall be in the form of a living grant for the duration of the regular programme of study. Tuition fees for international students are not included.
- The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung Scholarship Department provides a wide variety of assistance to students, including political education activities and summer schools, conferences both domestically and abroad, symposia and educational trips.
- It also organises practical instruction in fields such as rhetoric, conflict management and other core skills, time management and self-management, academic credentials, text and writing workshops, and detailed workshops on methodology.

Applications for scholarships are made online. The application deadline is 1 October 2020 for grants starting in the semester of the following year 1 April 2021 for scholarship grants starting in the winter semester of the same year (1 October 2021).

Visa Requirements
Most international students are likely to need a German student visa at a German consulate in their country before they can come to Germany to study. Depending on your country of birth, you may be excluded from the requirement for a visa to study in Germany. However, you are still expected to obtain a residency permit for studies lasting longer than 90 days, once you arrive in Germany.
