The Wadham College, University of Oxford is offering a range of scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. Scholarships include 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs for the duration of the course.The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university located in Oxford, England. It has no known date of foundation, but there is evidence of teaching as far back as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world’s second-oldest university in continuous operation.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing DPhil programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in History, Chemistry, Economics and Climate Research.
Scholarship Award: 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (at least £14,057) for the duration of the course. These scholarships have been made possible thanks to a generous donation by the family of David Richards, an alumnus of Wadham College.

Eligible Countries: Scholarships are open to home, EU and international graduate students.

Entrance Requirements:David Richards Scholarships in History: Applicants to DPhil courses offered by the Faculty of History, who will be conducting research which is interdisciplinary in nature. These two scholarships are open to home, EU and international graduate students. Please ensure that you meet the selection criteria for your course.
David Richards Scholarship in Chemistry: Applicants for DPhil courses offered by the Department of Chemistry. The scholarship is open to home, EU and international graduate students. Please ensure that you meet the selection criteria for your course.
David Richards Scholarship in Economics: Applicants for the DPhil in Economics. The scholarship is open to home, EU and international graduate students. Please ensure that you meet the selection criteria for your course. This scholarship is not open to candidates who hold deferred offers to start their course in 2017-18.
David Richards Scholarships in Climate Research: Applicants for the DPhil in Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics. These two scholarships are open to home, EU and international graduate students. Please ensure that you meet the selection criteria for your course.

Application Procedure:

To be eligible for consideration for these scholarships, applicants must be successful in being offered a place on their course after consideration of applications received by the relevant January deadline for the course. Course applications which are held over after the January deadline to be re-evaluated against applications received by the March deadline or course applications which have been put on a waiting list are not eligible for scholarship consideration.

There is no separate application process for this scholarship: in order to be considered, you must submit your application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline.
