2017 ASH Foundation Graduate Student Scholarship Competition, USA.

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation is offering graduate student scholarship for full-time US and international students studying in USA. There are up to 15 general scholarships and 6 endowed scholarships for students entering or enrolled in master’s or doctoral degrees.
ASHFoundation is a charitable organization that supports the advancement of knowledge in this field and seeks to improve the lives of people with speech, language, or hearing disorders.
The ASHFoundation nurtures the best and brightest students in the discipline. These students will eventually pursue careers in clinics, schools, research labs, higher education, and private practice, ensuring continued excellence in the field.
The candidate should have a very good command of the English language.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to students entering or enrolled in master’s or doctoral degrees.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in a communication sciences and disorders program.
Scholarship Award: Scholarship has a value of $5,000. Scholarship funding is to be directed toward educational support (such as tuition, books, school living expenses, etc.) and not for personal or conference travel.
Number of Awards: 21 scholarships are available.
Scholarship can be taken in the USA
Eligibility: In order to be eligible to receive one of the graduate scholarships, students must meet the following criteria:
Graduate Study
  • The student must be accepted for, or enrolled in, graduate study in a communication sciences and disorders program in the United States. Master’s programs in speech-language pathology or clinical doctoral programs in audiology must be accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA); this does not apply to research doctoral programs.
  • The student must be enrolled in full-time study for the full academic year.
    Academic and Personal Merit
  • The student must submit official university transcripts of academic coursework, credits, grades, and grade point average (GPA).
  • The student must be recommended by persons of the following status: faculty at the student’s current college or university program; faculty at the student’s past college or university program, for persons just completing undergraduate work; or colleagues (at least one supervisor) at the applicant’s current place of employment, for persons returning to school after being in the workforce.
    Prior Funding: The student must not have received a prior scholarship from the ASHFoundation.
Nationality: US and international students studying in the USA can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: The student must be accepted for, or enrolled in, graduate study in a communication sciences and disorders program in the United States.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirement: The candidate should have a very good command of the English language.
How to Apply: Providing all eligibility requirements are met, complete the online Student Information Form.
